In designing the MŪ193 chair, careful testing of material strength was necessary to achieve a studied simplicity that balances both form and function: the minimalist, low-slung profile complemented by a curved backrest set at a comfortable angle.
The diagonals of the chair’s tapered feet are mirrored in the piece’s upper edges, referencing formal elements from previous MŪVEK designs.
Our timber furniture is crafted from prime oak or walnut. The solid walnut pieces feature a natural oiled finish that highlights the warmth of the timber, while oak items can be stained to a darker shade.
The upholstery options on our website reflect the material and colour choices of the designer. Please contact us via email to enquire about custom upholstery solutions.

The MŪ193 Chair is crafted from solid timber with leather or textile upholstery.
Dust the timber frame with a soft, dry cloth. For marks or spills, use a cloth lightly dampened with mild soapy water, then dry immediately. Let candle wax harden before carefully lifting it off with a blunt object. Keep timber out of prolonged direct sunlight and avoid placing liquids or cleaning products directly on the surface. Do not use steel wool, abrasive pads, or harsh chemicals. Minor scratches and dents can often be repaired — contact us before attempting fixes.
Leather upholstery should be wiped regularly with a soft, dry cloth. If the leather feels dry, apply a natural, colour-neutral leather cream using a cloth. Avoid spot cleaning, harsh brushes, cleaning agents, vacuuming directly on the leather, or sharp objects. Keep leather away from direct sun and heat sources, which can cause drying and cracking. Note that pets and non-colourfast clothing can permanently mark or discolour leather.
Maintain textile upholstery with light lint brushing or gentle vacuuming using a soft upholstery brush. Blot spills with a damp, lint-free cloth — don’t rub. For tougher marks, use a mild detergent with lukewarm water. Avoid aggressive scrubbing, sharp objects, and strong stain removers, which may damage fibres or cause fading.
Damage caused by abrasives, harsh cleaning products, sharp objects, pets, or improper repairs is not covered under warranty. Materials not specified by our team fall outside our responsibility.
The MŪ193 chair is made from solid timber, with structural parts cut from premium-quality wood. Each chair is hand-assembled and hand-finished, with close attention given to the sharp angles and joinery.
The crisp geometry of the design requires multiple stages of sanding before and after assembly.
